Laurence Alaux is French. She was born in 1965 in Tarbes. She turned to art at 32 years old in Martinique where she joined a painting school in Shoelcher. Back to France mainland she developed her technique and grew a passion for material and its own energy. Early receptive to philosophy, she extended a pure artistic work to a search for interior peace. Opening onto various arts: painting, drawing, sculpting, she now develops her concept and collections in her home studio in Urrugne, in the south west of France.
